Whitney’s Cakery and Co. is owned and operated by Whitney Jones-Vega. Seven years ago, I began my career as a self taught baker in 2012 in North Austin. This began as just a hobby. Only taking cupcake orders, because I was so intimidated by cakes. Now they are my favorite thing to make! It allows me to bring my biggest talent; creativity to the forefront. As I have always expressed my creativity via fashion, makeup or interior design.

I started to educate myself on various techniques and recipes, baking became more than a hobby, it became my passion! I love being in the kitchen, it’s my favorite place. I love being able to create edible works of art for people and seeing their reactions; it’s so rewarding. When I’m not in the kitchen I love spending time with my family, especially my niece who also enjoys baking, and when I’m not baking I enjoy impromptu dates with my husband to new restaurants, browsing furniture and decor stores. Reality TV is my guilty pleasure and ANYTHING Fall related!
